Dedicated Suggestions Thread: Vehicles
#11
Well I mean the other life that was planned wasn't exactly ripped from Earth, so maybe Forerunnner sharks? But probably not earth ones.
Wanna make a contract?

Name: Cobra
Faction: UNSC
Type:* Ground Vehicle
Role:* Tank Killer and Direct Fire Support
Speed: Slightly faster than a Scorpion but not as fast as a Warthog
Arms:* M66 light railgun x2, M98 light railgun
Description:* The Cobra is a dedicated anti-material and fortification vehicle. Armed with powerful railguns it easily devastates armored vehicles and mechanized infantry however requires considerable time between firings for reloading and cooling down the barrels and the turret mount is quite slow to turn compared to other mounts such as the Scorpion's.
Extra: Consider it a more anti-vehicle Gauss Hog, more armor and more powerful yet still not quite as armored as a proper tank. While it's extremely powerful the cooldown and reloading time leave it extremely vulnerable between shots.

The Gauss Hog is already pretty anti-vehicle though. It's actually a really nice balance between AV and AP.

Water vehicles are also excessively niche that they serve very little if any purpose.

Off subject but I don't think the Armor will kill the user... It's top grade military equipment. There would likely be something to counter this. It seems silly that the most expensive and highly trained soldiers couldn't go near water...

building off of this, maybe water could add a new feature. Allow people to actually submerge under water. The player would move slower and maybe even aim slower while under water. Shooting into water could stop bullets making the submerged player safe from this kind of damage. Allow bullets to only go a short distance under water making shallow water not safe for the submerged character and make under water fights close range. Water could be placed around the maps to actually add to gameplay.
